Important: Approval to provide continuing education is separate from investigator agency licensing.
Designed to meet continuing education requirements within the private investigator industry, the company first began offering Internet training courses in Texas when the then named Texas Commission on Private Security, now TX PBS PSB, approved its online course curriculum in July 2002. In May 2003, the company was also accepted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety Program Services Bureau to provide online continuing education to its private investigator, security, and bail enforcement agent licensees. In June 2003, PIEducation was also accepted by the Tennessee Private Investigator and Polygraph Commission.
MJM Investigations Director of Investigations, Cheryl Senker, added, "Continuing Education for large companies with many investigators can be a hardship." "We have increased our division's profitability and efficiency simply by putting our eligible associates through PIEducation.com's online courses. The Surveillance Strategies for Success course has also augmented our own company's in-house investigator training and orientation."
PIEducation.com has provided CEUs to Texas Investigation Agencies and their employees via Internet and distance education since July 1, 2002. As of November 2009, the company has conferred over 48,000 CE hours to 4,200 licensees in eleven (11) states including Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Oregon, Kansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, New Mexico, Georgia, Louisiana and Iowa.
Current training courses currently cover topics in Surveillance, Pre employment Investigations, Safe Haven Investigations, Bail Enforcement, and Industry Ethics and Laws for Texas Private Investigators. "As always your CE was great and I actually learn something new with each course I take. The format makes the information easy to understand and makes sense. The review for the online test is a great help as to the main issues of the course. Thanks."
