Yes. We underwent a very thorough review process by the Texas Commission on Private Security, ensuring that we are providing only the highest levels of education on-line. Every one of the courses that we describe in the course catalog has been approved. If you require a copy of the written authorization from the Board, please do not hesitate to ask; we will promptly mail, fax, or email you a copy. Our TX PI CEU School Number is N-235 listed under CompassPoint Investigations and can be verified on the TX DPS PSB website as well. We cannot, however, provide Texas Supreme Court Process Server Review Board mandated continuing education online.
As of 4/28/2003, we have also been accepted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety, Program Services Bureau, to provide online continuing education and CLE credit to its licensees (Private Investigators, Bail Enforcement Agents, and Security Personnel). Please note, our courses now apply to 100% of your total 12 hour requirement.
On 6/2/2003, our online courses were formally accepted by the Tennessee Private Investigator and Polygraph Commission. TN PIs may now use our online courses to satisfy continuing education requirements, which is currently 12 CEU hours per 2 years. Our "just in time" course completion has already saved several investigators from the heavy fines imposed for not completing the required training prior to license renewal deadlines!
In 8/03, our online CLE courses were accepted by the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies for Private Detective license renewal!
On 6/24/2004, we received notice from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division that we are approved to provide South Carolina Private Detectives online continuing education!
Update! Effective 1/1/2006 South Carolina private investigators must complete 12 hours of continuing education every 24 months in order to renew your SC PI license.
On 9/29/2004, we were officially recognized by the Oregon Board of Investigators as an approved continuing education provider for OBI licensed Private Investigators. Click Here to learn more.

On 11/21/2006, our online courses were officially recognized and accepted by the Louisiana State Board of Private Investigator Examiners (LSBPIE). Each approved course will satisfy the entire Louisiana Private Investigator continuing education requirement for license renewal. There are other service providers out there right now that have not received permission from the Board to provide online continuing education. As a result, your license renewal may be denied.
On 1/31/2008 our online courses were officially approved by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators. All of our courses were approved for 12 hours and each will satisfy the total 12 hour continuing education requirement for the KY PI. On 1/08/2010 our online Arizona Process Server continuing education course, Advanced Skip Tracing Techniques for Professional Process Servers, was officially approved by the Supreme Court of Arizona for 10 hours and will satisfy the total ten hour continuing education requirement for Process Servers certified in Arizona.

It's really simple. From the home page, click on the flashing Course Catalog button and then select which course you would like to take. From the following course description page you can click on a "Purchase Course" graphic to go to our SSL secured order page.
Here you are asked to submit payment information; when it is approved you are asked to create your own username and password that you will use to log into the course you have selected. Now, log in and complete your lesson.
When you are through with the material, you will be required to take a final exam. If you pass with at least a 75% score you will be given the information required to complete your license renewal paperwork.
Upon completion of your first course you will then be able to register yourself for the free ethics course.
No. Once you have logged into the course you are given the option of downloading the study material for off-line reading rather than staying connected to the Internet the entire time. When you are through you can log back into our web site and complete the final examination, which should take no longer than 10 minutes.
Our courses were designed to meet or exceed the minimum clock hours of instruction required by law. In many cases students can complete meet their entire continuing education requirements in a single day; this is especially helpful if your license has already expired and you cannot find a convenient continuing education seminar!

No. You can log back into your course and pick up where you last left off at any time. If you chose to download the course material then you can finish reading it at your leisure! To return to a class that you have registered for click on the "Current Students" button at the top, select the course you are enrolled in from the list and log in with your username and password.
Yes. You will receive certificates of completion via email soon after you have completed your course's final examination. Record the provided information for later use on your license renewal forms.
PIEducation.com was designed with even the slowest computers in mind. We have kept graphics to an absolute minimum and web pages were designed to load quickly. You will however require the Internet Explorer or AOL Web Browser to view these courses correctly.
