Join this exclusive two-day live online intensive, which brings together four CE courses in one comprehensive event. In just two days, you will learn to protect account and client data, draft strong engagement agreements, identify emerging fraud and online threats, and support victims. These skills will prepare you to lead in identity theft and fraud investigation

Day 1 – July 28th, 10AM – 1PM ET

Account Takeover Prevention for Private Investigators – 2 CE Hours

Learn essential investigator strategies to prevent account takeover, secure authentication, strengthen passwords, and use tools to detect compromises early.

Building Strong Identity Theft Investigation Agreements – 1 CE Hour

Review critical agreement provisions for identity theft cases. Identify gaps, adapt existing terms, and clearly communicate changes to clients while maintaining professionalism.

Note: This course does not provide legal advice. All agreements should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before use.

Day 2 – July 29th, 10AM – 1PM ET

Emerging Threats: Identity Theft, Fraud, and Cyber Threats – 2 CE Hours

Understand current threats in identity theft, fraud, and cybercrime. Learn about recent criminal tactics, assess risks, and develop strategies to identify and respond effectively.

Victim Psychology in Identity Theft and Fraud Cases – 1 CE Hour

Effective investigations aren’t just about evidence – they’re about comprehending the people involved. Victims of identity theft and fraud often experience emotional and mental impacts that influence their behavior, memory, and cooperation. You’ll learn to recognize the stages victims go through and acquire practical methods to adapt your approach, augmenting both their recovery and your investigative outcomes.

Class Format: These classes are in a live, instructor-led format offered via Zoom Meetings. Classes will be taught over two days. Each day is a 3-hour session.

CLASS REMINDERS:

You must attend both days to receive a total of 6 CEU Hours.

Refund/Cancellation/Transfer Policy: Cancellations or transfers require advance written notice. Cancellations received at least 14 days before a scheduled live/virtual training will be refunded 100%. Cancellations less than 14 days before a scheduled live/virtual training will receive no refund or credit.

All trainings are subject to sufficient registration. If a live/virtual event is cancelled due to insufficient registration, emergencies or extreme technological difficulties, all paid registrants will be given the choice to either attend a rescheduled event at no additional charge or be issued a full refund.

System Requirements: These classes are taught by a live instructor via Zoom Meetings. Computer audio/video and a reliable internet connection are required for CE credit. We must be able to see and hear you on camera. This is a state requirement.

Check-in begins at 9 am ET.

You are required to join the virtual classroom by 9:30 am ET for us to take attendance, verify your identity, and ensure you are experiencing no technical difficulties. Please make time to join early if you need extra assistance.
