Don’t have a PERC card yet? 

A PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) is issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Completion of this course satisfies the required education portion.

You must apply for the PERC directly through IDFPR and follow their application process. IDFPR is the agency that regulates the private detective industry in Illinois and is solely responsible for issuing PERC cards.

IDFPR launched CORE, a new online licensing system. New applications for Private Detective Licenses and PERC cards are now submitted through CORE.

You can access CORE and review the application steps on the IDFPR website.

If you have questions about the application, processing time, or status, IDFPR is the appropriate authority to contact.
