Dean BeersAn introduction to the foundational concepts that support nearly all locate, background, and asset investigations. You learn how to begin an investigation with little or no personal identifying information, develop those identifiers responsibly, and use them to locate individuals, confirm identities, and analyze background and financial data. Emphasis is placed on understanding how public records and databases are created, how information can be incomplete or misleading, and how to evaluate search results critically.
Understand how to apply permissible purpose correctly, improve your search criteria, and recognize how data can be altered intentionally or unintentionally through reporting practices, system limitations, or user error. The course also addresses practical case-management strategies, helping you organize information efficiently and increase the likelihood of successful case outcomes.
